Justin Allen is one of six freshman on the ASU roster this season. He is an excellent shooter and excells in the classroom (3.83GPA). He was involved with his high school spanish club, the national honor society, and was elected class president sophmore year. He should get a chance to play three positions at ASU. He is the first player in Malta history to sign with a D1 school. Justin is a multi sport athlete, playing basketball, baseball, and soccer throughout high school. Justin not only is a great basketball player, but a phenominal soccer goalie being named to the all conference team in 1998 and 1999. Justin had games of 36 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 assists.He also a breakout 28 points and 26 rebound performance. He is currently the youngest player on the ASU Basketball team turning 19 on July 30.He is also the youngest in his family. His parents are Faye, a registered nurse, and Tom, a retired fireman. His sisters Micheale, Tammy, and Heather and his brother Chad are big supporters of Justin's success.

HIGH SCHOOL ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Malta High School's all-time leading scorer with 2,453 points..averaged 26.7 points, 15.0 rebounds and 4.7 blocks for the 23-4 Mustangs in senior year…averaged 28.0 points and 11 boards in junior year...also an outstanding soccer goalie who earned all-conference honors and entered his senior year as the school's record holder with 27 shutouts...shot better than 80 percent from the free throw line in his prep career...coached in high school by Shawn Byers...shot better than 40 percent from the three-point stripe in his junior year...a four-year starter...attended and made all-star teams at the Future Stars, Metro Index and Midwest Invitational Basketball Camps....a Little Ten All-Conference pick in 1997, 1998 and 1999…named Team MVP three times (1997-99)…a Chicago Sun Times All-State selection in 1998 and 1999…Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State pick in 1999…also school record holder with 929 rebounds.
